2 large onions
1 1/2 cup beer
1 1/2 cup flour
vegetable oil for frying
Recipe
Slice onions and seperate rings. Freese centers for later use. Mix beer (stale beer works fine) and flour together. Heat oil in skillet. Dip onion rings into batter and drop into hot oil. Fry until golden brown on one side and turn to fry other side. Keep warm in a 200* oven on a cookie sheet covered with paper towels or a brown paper bag. Absolutely the best onion rings you ever ate. (I fry squash in this batter, too.)
