    Recipe Introduction

This is a great one pan meal. Taste great when its hot and great when its cold.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 box of uncooked lasagna noodles
    • 1 - 1 1/2 lb of hamburger
    • 2 cans (15 oz) of tomato sauce
    • 1 - 2 cloves of minced garlic
    • 1 medium onion chopped
    • 1 1/2 cups of cottage cheese
    • 1 1/4 cups of sour cream
    • 1 egg
    • 1 pkg of shredded Cheddar Cheese
    • 1 pkg of shredded Mozzarella Cheese
    • Parmesan
    • Pepper and salt to taste

    Instructions

    1. Brown hamburger, drain. Add tomato sauce, garlic, and onion. Heat just until heated thru. Set aside.
    2. In large pot, prepare entire box of lasagna as directed on package. I usually boil mine for 12-14 minutes. Then I set the pot down in the sink and add cold water so that it will cool the noodles down for handling. Drain all the water off.
    3. In mixing bowl, mix together cottage cheese, sour cream and egg. Set aside.
    4. In large baking pan, spread a little of the hamburger and tomato mixture on the bottom of pan...just enough to cover the bottom. Add two layers of lasagna noodles over this. Then, spoon all the hamburger mixture, (save about 1/2 cup for your top layer) Next, spoon the cottage cheese mixture over the hamburger mixture. Now sprinkle a layer of cheddar and a layer of mozzarella.
    5. Begin another two layers of noodles. Spread the 1/2 cup of hamburger mixture over the noodles. Sprinkle with a layer of cheddar, a layer of mozzarella and parmesan.
    6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes before cutting and serving.

    Final Comments

I think the cottage cheese taste better than the ricotta cheese in lasagna.
