    CHICKEN FRIED STEAK

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 lb. round steak, pounded and cut into serving pieces
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 Tbsp milk
    • 1 c cracker crumbs
    • 3 Tbsp oil
    • 1 Tbsp butter
    • 1-1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp pepper


    Instructions


    1. With a whisk, mix eggs and milk. Heat oil and butter in skillet, preferably cast iron. Dip steak into egg mixture then in cracker crumbs. Fry in hot oil/butter on both sides, turning only once. Remove and drain on paper towel. Season with salt/pepper.
    2. If you want to make gravy, stir in some flour to the fat in frying pan, then gradually add some milk, stirring all the while. After it reaches gravy consistency, season with salt/pepper.
