    SALERNO SPAGHETTI WITH MEATBALLS

    List of Ingredients


    • 1-1/2 lbs hamburger
    • 1/4 c minced onion
    • 1/2 c bread crumbs (might have to use more)
    • 1 egg
    • 1/3 c milk
    • 1/2 c Parmesan cheese
    • 1 lb. hot Italian sausage, cut up into 1 inch pieces
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
    • 2, 28 oz. cans tomato puree
    • 1 can water from above
    • 1, 12 oz, can tomato paste


    Instructions


    1. Combine first 6 ingredients with hands and shape into balls. Brown them along with the hot Italian sausage, then remove, reserving oil in pan. In same pan, saute garlic and onion till onion tender. Do not burn garlic. Add Italian seasoning, tomato puree, water and tomato paste. Return meatballs and sausage. Simmer 2-3 hours. Serve on pasta.
