I was interested in your site because I also recently inherited the old, hand-written recipe books of my great grandmother, Maggie Wilkinson, from Rossendale. These are full of baking recipes but also cough mixture, jams, toffee, etc. There are even some crochet instructions. I am currently seeking a suitable recipe for a cookery competition. It must contain traditional lancashire ingredients, eg. tripe, black pudding, cow heels, lancs. cheese, etc, and be do-able in 30 mins as in ready, steady, cook. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
