    SHONEY'S COUNTRY FRIED STEAK

    • 3 cups water
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    • 4 cube steaks, trimmed, flatened (4 oz each)
    • 1 1/2 Tbls lean ground beef
    • 1/4 cup flour
    • 2 cups chicken broth
    • 2 cups milk
    • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    • 1/4 tsp salt


    Instructions


    1. Put in medium bowl water. Sift flour, salt, and pepper together.Dip steak in water then dry mixture. Repeat lay coated steak on wax paper and freeze for 3 hours. Deep fry steak in 350 degrees oil 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Brown ground beef in skillet. Stir in flour, then remaining ingredents. Bring to boil, the simmer until thick. Pour gravy over steaks.
