    Tomato Head's Cheese Lasagna

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups Tomato heads red sauce ( given on a previous show)
    • 2 cups fresh ricottla cheese
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup heavy cream
    • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1/4-1/2 lb lasagna noodles
    • 3 cups shredded montrey jack cheese


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Crack egg into a medium bowl and whisk lightly. Add the ricotta cheese, heavy cream, chopped basil and salt. mix until well blended adn set aside.
    3. Layer one cup of tomato sauce on bottom of a 11x7 pyrex dish. Arrange lasagna noodles over the sauce and spread 1/3 the ricotta mixture over top of the noodles, sprinkle one cup of shredded cheese over the ricotta layer. Arrange the next two layer by layering noodles on top of the cheese with sauce, ricotta, and shredded cheese.
    4. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until noodles are soft and cheese is browning on top. If cheese starts to brown to rapidly you can cover the lasagna with foil half way through cooking. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
    5. Sprinkle with parmesan and serve a side salad and bread.
