    • 2 CUPS SELF-RISING FLOUR
    • 1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
    • 1 TEASPOON SUGAR
    • 1/3 CUP CRISCO SHORTENING
    • 3/4 CUP GRATED CHEDDAR CHEESE
    • 1 CUP BUTTERMILK


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES.
    2. MIX FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, AND SUGAR TOGETHER USING A FORK; CUT IN SHORTENING UNTIL IT RESEMBLES CORNMEAL. ADD CHEESE.
    3. STIR IN BUTTER MILK ALL AT ONE TIME JUST UNTIL BLENDED. DO NOT OVERSTIR.
    4. DROP BY TABLESPOONS FULL ONTO A WELL-GREASED BAKING SHEET.
    5. BAKE FOR 12-15 MINUTES.
