    • 1 LB. DRY LARGE LIMA BEANS
    • 6 CUPS WATER
    • 1/2 LB. BACON,DICED
    • 1 ONION,CHOPPED
    • 1 GREEN PEPPER, DICED
    • 1 TABLESPOON ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
    • 2 TEASPOONS SEASONED SALT
    • 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
    • 1/4 TEASPOON PEPPER
    • 2 TEASPOONS PREPARED MUSTARD
    • 1 TEASPOON WORCESTSHIRE SAUCE
    • 2 TABLESPOONS BROWN SUGAR
    • 2 1/3 CUPS CANNED TOMATOES, DICED


    Instructions


    1. WASH BEANS,COVER WITH WATER AND SOAK FOR 6-8 HOURS.DISCARD WATER, AND SET BEANS ASIDE.

    2. COOK BACON IN A LARGE SKILLET,UNTIL CRISP. DRAIN (LEAVE ENOUGH GREASE TO SAUTE YOUR ONION) AND CRUMBLE BACON,SET ASIDE.

    3. ADD ONION AND GREEN PEPPER TO SKILLET AND COOK FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. BLEND IN THE FLOUR, SEASONINGS, AND SUGAR. ADD TOMATOES AND SIMMER, UNCOVERED FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.

    4. ADD BEANS. COOK UNTIL BEANS ARE DONE.

    5. SPRINKLE WITH THE CRUMBLED BACON AND SERVE.
