    Easy Strawberry Jam

    Makes about 4 (1 cup) containers of jam.
    No experience necessary!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups crushed strawberries
    • 4 cups granulated sugar
    • 1 box SURE-JELL Fruit Pectin
    • 3/4 cup water


    Instructions


    1. Mix strawberries and sugar thoroughly. Set aside for 10 minutes.
    2. Stir SURE-JELL with water in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat.
    3. Stir mixture together until sugar is completely dissolved and no longer grainy.
    4. Pour into plastic containers and cover.
    5. Let stand at room temp for 24 hours. Jam is now ready to use.
    6. Store in refrigerator or freeze extra containers. Thaw frozen jam in refrigerator.


    Final Comments


    Measure sugar and fruit exactly; do not change amounts or jam will not set properly. A potato masher works best for mashing strawberries.
