    DELLA'S CHOCOLATE SHEET CAKE aka TEXAS BROWNIES

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

    2 cups sugar
    2 cups all purpose flour
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 lb butter or margarine
    1/4 cup cocoa powder
    1/2 cup oil
    1 cup strong coffee or water
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 cup buttermilk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    Cream Cheese Frosting:
    8 oz cream cheese -- room temperature
    2 cups confectioner's sugar
    4 tablespoons cocoa powder
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 teaspoon milk
    1/2 can walnuts -- chopped

    Grease and flour a 12"x18" jelly roll pan (cookie sheet with four raised sides). Preheat oven to 350f.
    Cake batter:
    In a large bowl, combine (from the first 12 ingredients) the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt; mix well and set aside.

    In a saucepan combine butter, cocoa, oil, and coffee. Stir and heat to boiling. Cool slightly.Stir into dry ingredients. Add eggs, baking soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix well on high speed of electric mixer.

    Pour into jelly roll pan. Bake at 350f for 20-25 minutes.


    While hot frost with Cream Cheese Frosting:
    Whip cream cheese until fluffy. Beat in confectioners sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, and milk. Spread over top of warm brownies. Sprinkle chopped nuts over frosting. Cool and slice.
