    M&M PARTY COOKIES

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    1 cup solid shortening
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 1/2 cups M&M candies

    In large mixing bowl, blend sugars and shortening until creamy. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Stir in 1/2 c. M&M candies. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Decorate tops of cookies with remaining candies. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
