    Diannes Spaghetti Sauce

    Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
    1 large onion -- chopped
    1 c mushrooms, optional -- sliced
    2 tbsp granulated garlic
    2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    1/4 c fresh basil -- chopped fine
    2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
    1 small can tomato paste

    Brown and drain beef in 5 qt. Dutch oven or small Nesco cooker. Add onion and cook until nearly soft. Add all remaining ingredients plus 1 cup water. Bring to simmer. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently until sauce is well cooked and thick.

    This sauce freezes very well. I triple the recipe and freeze it in meal size containers.

    NOTES : Measurements are only approximate. I use basil which has been chopped fine with olive oil in food processor and frozen in ice cube trays. 2 cubes.
