    Dips: Superb Seafood Dip

    List of Ingredients

    8 ounces cream cheese, softened (I've used the lower fat version with great success)
    1/2 cup mayonnaise (again, used the lower and fat-free versions with great success)
    3 green onions, finely chopped (greens and whites)
    2 cloves garlic, minced (use more if you really like garlic; you can substitute garlic powder, if desired)
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
    1/4 cup tomato paste
    8 ounces canned shrimp, rinsed and drained (tiny or medium work best; you can use frozen if that's all you have)
    vegetable dippers or crackers

    Recipe

    In a bowl, blend together cream cheese, mayonnaise, green onions, garlic, lemon juice and tomato paste.
    Blend in seafood, mashing with a fork. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Transfer mixture to crockpot; cover and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours or on high for 1 to 1½ hours. Set slow cooker to low (or if you have a warm setting, that works best), to keep dip warm until ready to serve with assorted vegetable dippers or crackers.
