List of Ingredients
Peel and slice apples.
for the syrup:
4 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg, optional
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
10 c. water
3 tbsp. lemon juice
Recipe
To make syrup, cook ingredients until thick and bubbling, add lemon juice.
Fill sterilized quart jars with apples, cover with syrup.
Clean top of jar and cover with hot sterilized lid and ring.
Process 20 minutes in water bath.
**28 cups of sliced apples will fill 7 quart jars.
