4 cups all purpose flour
· 4 cups whole wheat flour
· 1 cup butter flavor or solid white shortening
· 1/3 cup double-acting baking powder
· 1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
· 3 tablespoons sugar
· 2 teaspoons salt
Recipe
1 Use a large bowl to make this mix. Mix all the dry ingredients well, then cut in the shortening until it looks like coarse oatmeal. Store in a covered container.
2 Yields 11 cups. It keeps for 2 months at room temperature, longer if kept in the refrigerator, and even longer if kept in the freezer.
