    2 lbs. lean ground beef
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 t. California style minced garlic, wet
    2 cans baked beans with maple cured bacon (28 oz. each)
    1 1/2 cup ketchup
    2/3 cup water
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    3 T. prepared mustard
    2 t. instant beef bouillon granules
    1/2 t. salt
    1/2 t. pepper
    8 oz. bacon, crisp cooked, drained and crumbled

    IN a 4 quart Dutch oven, cook beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown and
    onion is tender; drain fat. Stir in undrained baked beans, ketchup, water,
    brown sugar, mustard, bouillon granules, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce
    heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Just before
    serving, stir about half of the crumbled bacon into the bean mixture. Ladle into
    bowls; sprinkle each serving with remaining bacon. Makes 6-8 servings.
