    Source of Recipe

    unknown

    List of Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 sweet red pepper -- finely chopped
1/2 green pepper -- finely chopped
    1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
    1/4 cup Dijon mustard
    1/2 teaspoon chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes
    1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoon paprika
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    1 egg -- lightly beaten
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    3 red onions -- chopped
    1/2 cup apple juice
    2 tablespoons liquid honey

    Recipe

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, red and green peppers,
bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, chili powder, hot pepper flakes, onion
powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, dried basil, thyme, and
egg. Mix well. Shape the mixture into 4 oval patties.

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil. Saute Salisbury steaks,
about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from pan and
    keep warm in oven.

In the skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil. Saute the red
onions for 3 minutes. Add the apple juice and honey. Saute until onions
are golden brown. Serve relish over Salisbury steaks.
