    Laundry Soap

    Source of Recipe

    unknown

    List of Ingredients

1 bar soap. I use home made, but Ivory should work fine for those
who don't make their own soap.
1 1/2 cups washing soda (found in the laundry detergent aisle)
    1 1/2 cups borax
    2 quarts water

    Recipe

Warm the water on the stove and dissolve the washing soda and borax
in it, stirring gently. Grate and add the soap and continue stirring
til it's all incorporated. Don't overheat it.

If you save the gel in this form you only need a tablespoon or two
for every load, but it becomes a VERY thick gel that can be hard to
scoop! I usually add about 2 more quarts of water and use about 1/4
    cup per load.
