    Chicken or Beef Fried Rice

    Source of Recipe

    Old Fashioned Kitchen

    List of Ingredients

1 pound ground chuck or boneless chicken
    2 cloves crused garlic
1 tsp. grated, peeled fresh ginger
    2 tbsp. water
    1 green pepper, chopped
1 cup or so frozen or fresh pea pods
    3 cups cold cooked rice
    3 tbsp. soy sauce
    2 tsp. sesame oil
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
Optional: for hot flavor add 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes

    Recipe

In a large non-stick skillet, brown the ground chuck
til no longer pink--or chop the chicken and cook until
they are done. Remove with a slotted spoon and
set aside. Wipe out the pan with papertowel if there
is any grease. In the same skillet, add the water and
heat until it's hot. Add the pepper and pea pods, cook
about 3 minutes until crisp tender. Add rice, soy
sauce and sesame oil, then stir well. Return the
meat to the skillet and heat through for about 5 minutes.
Stir in green onions before serving. Serves 4.
