    Simple Meals

    List of Ingredients




    2 tomatoes, chopped
    2 onions, cut up
    4 carrots, cut up
    1 stalk celery, cut up
    1 potato, cut up
    6 garlic cloves
    Dash of salt
    1/2 t. dried thyme
    1 bay leaf
    6 cups water

    Recipe



    Combine tomatoes, onions, carrots, celery, potato, garlic, salt, thyme, bay leaf, and water. Cover. Cook on low 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours. Strain stock through large sieve. Discard the solids. Freeze until needed, up to 3 months. Use for soups or stews.
    Makes 6 cups.
