    1 lb.fresh green beans
    4 slices bacon,cut up(I crumble, after cooking till crisp.)
    1 medium onion,chopped(about 1/2 cup)
    1 tomato,chopped
    1 clove garlic,finely chopped
    1/2 tsp.dried oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    Dash of pepper
    juice of 1/2 lemon(about 2 Tbls.)

    Heat beans & 1 inch salted water(1/2 tsp.salt to 1 cup water)to
    boiling.Cook uncovered 5 minutes.Cover & cook till tender,5-10
    minutes.Immediately rinse under cold water,drain.

    Fry bacon in a 10 inch skillet till crisp,drain on paper towels.Cook
    & stir onion in bacon fat till tender.Add tomato,garlic,oregano,salt
    & pepper,simmer uncovered 5 minutes.Stir in beans,heat till
    hot.Drizzle with lemon juice & garnish with bacon.Serve.
