    3 10-ounce boxes frozen whole-leaf spinach, thawed and drained
    1 1/2 cups chopped onion
    1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
    1 cup sliced mushrooms
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tsp worcestershire sauce
    8-ounce package cream cheese
    Salt, pepper, grated nutmeg and cayenne pepper to taste

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place thawed spinach in a dish towel and squeeze to get all the moisture out. Chop spinach and set aside. In large skillet over medium heat, sautee onion in butter until softened. Add mushrooms and garlic and cook until mushrooms give up their liquid. Add the spinach and Worcestershire sauce and cook a minute or two until blended. Stir in cream cheese and seasonings and cook until cream cheese has melted. Transfer mixture to a greased, 6-cup casserole dish and bake 15 to 20 minutes. this Casserole can be prepared ahead of time, refrigerated and baked for 1/2 hour. Or, casserole can be frozen unbaked, brought to room temperature, and baked
    15 to 20 minutes.
