    Maple Syrup Marinade/Dipping Sauce

    This is great for Chicken Satays... double the recipe and reserve 1/2 for the dipping sauce.

    List of Ingredients




    2 teaspoons horseradish
    2-3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 tablespoons orange juice
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1/4 cup spiced rum
    2/3 cup maple syrup
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon onion powder
    1/2 teaspoon five spice powder

    Recipe



    In a small container, mix the together the horseradish, lemon juice, soy sauce, rum, maple syrup, orange juice, garlic powder, onion powder and five spice powder.

    Cover and store in the refrigerator up to 1 week.

    Makes a good marinade for beef or chicken. Also makes a good dipping sauce for appetizers if you do not use for a marinade first (or make double, store half in a covered container, and use the remainder for a marinade, e.g., do not marinate meat, poultry, or fish in the portion you want to use as a dip).

    Will marinate 1 to 2 pounds of cubed chicken or beef.
