    Garlic & Romano Dipping Sauce

    Source of Recipe

    GoodHousekeeping magazine

    Recipe Introduction

This garlicky Romano & olive oil dip is served before every meal at a Massachusetts restaurant. The general manager gave it to Good Housekeeping over the phone.

Prep: 5 min. Makes about 3/4 cup sauce.

    List of Ingredients

1 C. freshly grated Romano cheese
    1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/2 C. extra virgin olive oil
1 small garlic clove, crushed with press
    Crusty Italian bread

    Recipe

In small serving bowl, combine Romano cheese, crushed red pepper, olive oil & crushed garlic. With wire whisk, mix these ingredients together until well combined. Serve the sauce at room temperature with bread for dipping.

This savory sauce is also delicious over chopped vegetables. If you have any left over, whisk a bit of balsamic vinegar into the dip, and you've got a tasty salad dressing for fresh greens. Refrigerate leftovers.
