    French Toast Souffle

    List of Ingredients




    1 Cup. dark brown sugar
    1 stick unsalted butter
    2 T. corn syrup
    12 slices white bread, crusts removed
    1 1/2 Cups milk
    6 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt

    Recipe



    Mix brown sugar, butter & corn syrup in a saucepan. Stir well & bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Pour into a 9x13" dish, coating bottom evenly. Arrange bread slices on top of the caramel in 2 layers of 6 slices. Mix milk, eggs, vanilla & salt well. Pour over bread. Cover & refrigerate overnight. In the morning, let sit at room temp. a few mintues, then bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes.
