    Sawmill Gravy

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 lb. country sausage, such as Jimmy Dean (hot or regular)
    3 T. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 Cups milk
    1/8 tsp. each of salt & pepper

    Recipe



    Brown & drain sausage, reserving 2 T. drippings in skillet. Blend in flour to make roux. Add milk & blend until smooth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium & simmer 2 minutes. Serve over hot open-face biscuits. Makes 4 servings
