    List of Ingredients


    • 3 eggs
    • 3/4 cup reduced cream
    • 1 1/3 cups self raising flour
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 1/2 tsp grand marnier or brandy (or use orange essence)
    • 2 tsp grated orange rind
    • 2 tbs cocoa
    • 2 tbs apricor jam or orange marmalade
    • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
    • melted chocolate
    • almonds
    • pure cream, lightly whipped


    Instructions


    1. Beat eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy. Fold in cream, flour, Grand Marnier and orange rind.
    2. Place 1/4 of mixture into a bowl and mox in jam, cocoa and slivered almonds.
    3. Pour plain mixture into a buttered 5 cup ring tin and top with cocoa mixture (or vice versa)
    4. Bake 180C, 50 minutes or until cooked when tested. Cool on a wire rack.
    5. Decorate with melted chocolate and almonds, fill centre of cake with freshly whipped cream and serve.
