    The most obvious use for this sauce is stir it through fresh pasta...YUM

    It is also good on a schnitzel with some grated cheese, as a pizza sauce, with poached eggs and wood oven toast and has probably dozens of other uses. It cn be frozen.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 tbs olive oil
    • 425g can tomatoes, chopped
    • 1 tbs fresh basil, chopped
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 brown onion, chopped
    • 4 tbs tomato paste
    • 1 tbs fresh oregano, chopped
    • freshly ground black pepper
    • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 1 tsp sugar


    Instructions


    1. Heat oil in pan. Saute onion and garlic 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.
    2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, water, sugar, salt and pepper. Simmer 20-25 minutes or until sauce thickens.
