    Frost with Fudge Frosting.

    Be careful not to overcook. When the center is firm, the cake starts pulling away from the sides, and the wooden pick almost comes out clean I take the cake out. The cake will continue to cook a couple of more minutes.

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups flour
    2 cups sugar
    3/4 cup sour cream
    1/4 cup shortening
    1 cup water
    1 1/4 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    2 eggs
    4 (1 ounce each) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour rectangular pan (13x9x2"), 2 round pans (9 x 1 1/2"), or 3 round pans (8 x 1 1/2").

    Beat all ingredents on low speed, scaping bowl constantly. Beat on high speed 3 minutes. Pour into pan(s).

    Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Rectangle pan = about 40 minutes. Round pans = about 30 minutes.
