    SAUCE
    HONEY-GLAZED HAM SAUCE
    Wednesday, December 19, 2001
    For Joanne Keeler, London

1 half ham, spiral cut, smoked and cured

    1/2 cup pear nectar

    1/2 cup orange juice

    1/2 cup honey

    1/2 cup firm-packed brown sugar

I made this for Thanksgiving and was told it was great -- that it tasted and looked like the other "honey-baked ham."

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Place the ham cut side down on a foil-lined baking pan.

Mix the nectar and juice, and apply to the ham.

Bake the ham in the oven for about 15 minutes. While the ham is baking, mix together the honey and brown sugar. Apply the honey-sugar mixture to the ham. (I used a small spatula.)

Return the ham to the oven for approximately 1 hour or until a meat thermometer registers 140 degrees.
