    Low Carb Buttered Parmesan Bread Crumbs

    Ingredients:
    9 slices low-carb white bread, very stale
    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    2 tablespoons dried parsley

    Directions:
    Break up bread slices into a large zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin. If you'd rather have very fine crumbs, chop the bread up in a food processor. Set breadcrumbs aside.

    In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt the butter: breadcrumbs, pepper, and salt. Cook until the crumbs smell toasty, about 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat toss the crumbs, Parmesan, and parsley together large mixing bowl; let mixture cool.

    Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
