    By Debra Manzella, R.N. - Type 2 Diabetes Expert: "The perfect low-fat potatoes mashed with heart healthy garlic go so well with crispy baked chicken (or any delicious, healthy protein source, really)."

    4 medium potatoes, peeled, cubed, cooked and drained
    7 garlic cloves, minced
    1/3 cup fat-free milk, heated
    1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
    2 tbsp. reduced fat margarine

    Using an electric mixer, combine all ingredients. Do not overbeat.

    One 1/2-cup serving equals: Calories 99 (Calories from fat 18); Total fat 2 g; Cholesterol 0 mg; Sodium 61 mg; Total carbohydrate 18 g; Dietary fiber 1 g; Sugars 4 g; Protein 3 g ++++ Exchanges: 1 starch, 1/2 fat ++++ WWP: 2
