    Easy chicken tacos

    Recipe Introduction


    This recipe was created by myself and an old friend when we were about 13 years old, using a whole frozen chicken and not much else. It's been adapted over the years and works much better, but the memories of thawing that first bird in the microwave will be with me forever.


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
    • one packet taco seasoning
    • 1 small can sliced chile peppers (optional)
    • preferred taco toppings
    • 6-8 soft taco shells


    Instructions


    1. Simmer chicken breasts in large frying pan, filled with about a cup of water.
    2. When chicken is done, drain water and allow to cool slightly.
    3. Cube chicken and place back in pan, along with chile peppers (optional).
    4. Use taco seasoning accoring to package directions.
    5. When mixture is done, heat taco shells, then top each with 2 tbsp taco mixture.
    6. Top with favorite taco toppings. I usually just use shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream.
