    A very sweet chocolate cake


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 sticks butter or oleo
    • 4 Tbls. cocoa
    • 1 cup water
    • 1 teas. soda
    • 2 eggs
    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • 1 teas. vanilla
    • ICING:
    • 1 stick butter or oleo
    • 6 Tbls. milk
    • 3 Tbls. cocoa
    • 1 box powdered sugar
    • 1 teas. vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Mix in large bowl sugar and flour.
    2. In saucepan bring to a boil butter, cocao, water. Mix in flour mixture.
    3. Add soda, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
    4. Pour into 13x9 inch floured pan.
    5. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes
    6. Make icing by heating butter, milk, cocoa to boiling point.
    7. add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing well.
    8. Pour over hot cake and let cool.
