    POPPY SEED SOUR CREAM CAKE

    Recipe Introduction


    Such a good top on this cake. It's usually broken when it comes from the oven. The flavors meld together so well. An excellent gift!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter
    • 6 eggs
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    • 2 teaspoons lemon flavor (may substitute butter flavor)
    • 3 cups sugar
    • 3 cups flour
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 teaspoon coconut extract
    • 1 teaspoon orange extract
    • 1 teaspoon almond extract
    • 1/4 cup poppy seeds


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter and sugar.
    2. Add eggs, one at a time, moxing well after each.
    3. Mix in flour and soda.
    4. Add remaining ingrediennts and mix well.
    5. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake at 350 degrees until done.......about 1 1/2 hours.
