    I had these at work in 1979 at Ft. Leavenworth. A co-worker made them for my going-away party.

    List of Ingredients




    2 C. flour, sifted
    dash of salt
    2 sticks butter
    12 oz. cottage cheese
    Frosting:
    1 C. powdered sugar
    ½ tsp. vanilla
    ½ tsp. almond flavoring
    milk, enough for glazing consistency

    Recipe



    Combine ingredients.
    Cream cottage cheese and butter. Add flour and salt. Form into three balls. Refrigerate four hours or overnight. Roll out each ball on a floured surface and cut into 12 wedges. Roll each wedge from wide end. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350. Frost while warm. Makes three dozen.
