Recipe Introduction
Its way better then a cheeseburger for you .You might say oh it won't taste as good. Well ya never know til you try.This is made using the George foreman Grill.
List of Ingredients
1 Pita Shell
1 gardenburger/veggie burger anyflavor is fine
sliced portebello mushrooms
slice of cheeseRecipe
Directions:
Place pita in the george foreman bun warmer on top if you're grill has this.
Bruch mushroom slices with a bit of olive oil. cook til done,
Cook the gardenburger til done.
slice pita in half. in each half place half a cheese slice.half of the garden burger in each and a portebello slice in each
or so. squirt of ketchup or whatever condiment you like..
Variations:Other grilled veggies, bean sprouts. etc
Note-The idea is to make this as healthy as can be and to taste BETTER then a cheeseburger thats what I achieved here.
I figured it out to only being 4 weight watchers points bout that.It totally was better then any fast food burger
you could put in some lettuce and tomato too or onions in the pita pocket.The pita I used was low carb wheat and oat bran so it was extra healthy
serve with a side of grilled summer squash and zuchhini instead of fries :).
