    Richmond Chocolate Frosting

    Recipe Introduction


    This is a thick, glossy frosting, almost like a pudding consitency. It is very good on chocolate cake.


    List of Ingredients


    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • dash of salt
    • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
    • 3/4 cup boiling water
    • 1 1/2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, grated
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 3/4 teaspoons vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Mix sugar and cornstarch, add chocolate and salt. Stir chocolate mixture into boiling water and cook until mixture thickens.
    2. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla.
    3. Spread on cake while frosting is still warm.
