    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 quart water
    • 1 carrot, chopped
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 1 stalk celery, chopped
    • salt and pepper


    Instructions


    1. Brown ground beef, add water and other ingredients, bring to a boil. Simmer 1 hour.
    2. Skim off fat. Strain through cheesecloth. Discard solids.
    3. Makes 4 cups. Keeps 3 days in refrigerator or 6 months in freezer.
