    BBQ Pork/Beef

    Source of Recipe

    Family Fun Magazine

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 3 to 4 lb. pork-butt roast or beef chuck roast
    • salt & pepper to taste
    • 2 med onions, sliced
    • 2 16 oz. jars of your favorite BBQ sauce

    Instructions

    1. Carefully trim fat from the meat. Season with salt and pepper.
    2. Place onions on the bottom of the crock pot. Lay the meat on top of the onions, and pour in one bottle of BBQ sauce. Turn to coat. Cover and let it cook for 9 to 10 hours on low.
    3. Carefully remove meat from the crock and pour out the fat and juices, retaining the onions.
    4. Using 2 forks, shred the meat, discarding any fat. Put the meat back in the crock, mix in the other bottle of BBQ sauce and let it cook another half hour or so.
    5. Serve on rolls
