    8 sausages (skinless)
    8 slices bread
    50g/2oz cheese (grated)
    50g/ 2oz butter/margarine
    5ml/1tsp mustard
    15ml/1tbsp chives (chopped)
    1 egg (beaten)
    cocktail sticks

    Recipe



    Remove all of the crusts from the bread, and roll out each slice lightly, using a rolling pin.

    Butter each slice of bread. Top four of the slices with mustard and cheese, and the remaining four with chives and cheese.

    Place a sausage on each slice of bread, and roll up. Cut in half, secure with a cocktail stick and brush lightly with egg.

    Place on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven until golden and crispy.

    Remove cocktail sticks, and serve hot or cold

    Conventional Oven 200`C (25 - 30 minutes)
    Fanned Oven 190`C (20 - 25 minutes)
    Gas Oven 6 (25 - 30 minutes)
