    List of Ingredients




    * 1 Pound Beef -- Cubed
    * 2 Pounds Ham -- Cubed
    * 2 Medium Onion -- Chopped
    * 2 Medium Carrot -- Chopped
    * 2 Medium Parsnip -- Chopped
    * 1 Medium Turnip -- Chopped
    * 2 Stalks Celery -- Chopped
    * 1 Pound New Potatoes
    * 2 Medium Leeks -- Chopped
    * 1 Tablespoon Thyme
    * 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
    * Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
    * 10 Cups Beef Broth

    Recipe



    Saute beef and ham in oil until well browned. Add onion, carrots, parsnips, turnip, and celery. Saute for 5 minutes. Add broth and leeks. Simmer for at least an hour up to 5 if desired. Add potatoes and simmer for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
    Serves 4
