    2½lb (1125g) stewin steak
    1½oz. (40g) flour
    2 oz (50g) drippin
    1 large onion
    1 tablespoon tomato puree
    1 table spoon of mild mustard
    1 pint of Newcastle Broonale
    Salt an peppor

    Recipe



    Heat the oven te 325°F, 170°C, Gas Mark 3.
    Mix the flour wi salt and peppor. Cut the meat in te wan inch cubes an tossem in the flour.
    Melt the drippin. Aah knaa, oil's aal new fangled but this is a geordie dish an aah knaa that drippin tastes bettor.
    Broon the meat an onions, the storr in the tomato puree and the mustard.
    Blend in THE BROONALE (it blends in anywhere) an add plenty of salt an peppor.
    Bring te the boil an then transfor to a casserole dish.
    Cook for 2½ hours, or till the meat gans tendor.
    Sorve wi the wine of the country. Newcastle Broon!
