Irish Applesauce

# 3 large Granny Smith Apples peeled and sliced
# 2 tablespoons butter
# 1/4 cup Irish whiskey
# 1/2 cup applesauce (any canned sauce may be used)
# Sugar to taste Recipe
Place apples, butter, Irish whiskey, applesauce and sugar in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Stir frequently, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Be sure to allow the alcohol in the whiskey to evaporate and also be careful to not overcook the apples so that they will retain a firm texture and not become too mushy.
