    4oz butter
    5oz plain flour
    4oz caster sugar
    2oz chopped, blanched almonds
    1tsp rosewater

    Recipe



    Put the sugar and butter into a large bowl and cream, using a wooden spoon, until light in colour and fluffy in texture. Fold in the flour with a metal spoon and add the rosewater and almonds. This mixture should form a stiff dough. Spoon in small mounds onto a greased baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees Centigrade. When baked the biscuits should be golden brown in colour.
