2 lb. tender side of a round of beef
Pepper and salt
1 slice bread, grated
1 apple, minced
1 small onion, mincedRecipe
Mix bread, apple and onion. Beat the beef with a rolling pin, then cut
it in pieces. Rub the saucepan with beef suet, put a layer of the beef
in the bottom. Shake some of the bread, apple and onion mixture over it,
also pepper and salt. Then put another layer of beef and another layer
of bread, apple and onion. Continue with alternate layers, cover with a
lid and cook in a slow oven till done.
