Steamed Derbyshire Batter Pudding

3 eggs
1pt of milk
3tbs of flour
1oz butter Recipe
Add a little milk to the flour and stir until smooth. Slowly add the rest of the milk, stirring all the time. Melt the butter and add this to the mixture. Next beat the eggs and add them with the salt to the mixture. Beat well. Pour into a well-greased pudding basin, cover with grease proof paper and steam for 11/2 hours. Serve with jam, fruit or wine sauce.
