Beef Pattie Casserole

2 lbs. ground beef
pepper to taste
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup tomato juice
1 egg
1/2 tsp. curry powder
2 onions, thinly sliced
2 lbs. potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
3 cups beef stock
Recipe
Mix beef, pepper, bread crumbs, juice, egg and curry powder; form into 6-8 patties. Brown patties. Layer potatoes, onions and beef patties in a casserole pan, beginning and ending with potatoes. Pour in beef stock. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Serves 8
