    Deanne's Rib Sticking Meatballs and Spaghetti

    Deanne Bray MEATBALLS

    1 lb ground beef
    1/2 cup parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper
    one egg
    1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs or enough to make the ground beef hold together
    Olive oil

    Beat egg in a large bowl. Add parmesan, salt, pepper, bread crumbs. Mix with hands (make sure they are clean). When consistency sticks, shape meatballs to any size you like. Add olive oil to a saucepan and heat; add meatballs and fry until all sides are brown.


    SAUCE

    Two cans tomato puree (28 oz)
    One can of water (use tomato puree can)
    One small can tomato paste
    Garlic
    3 large onions
    1 teaspoon sugar
    Salt and pepper as desired
    Olive oil

    Saute onions and garlic in a large pot with a heavy bottom adding some salt and pepper to taste. Add tomato puree, paste and water along with a teaspoon of sugar and cook for 1 1/2 hours. Add meatballs and cook for another hour.


    SPAGHETTI

    1 lb spaghetti
    Water to boil
    Pinch of salt

    Boil water in a big pot (several quarts), add spaghetti and salt, and cook to taste. Put in a large bowl, add sauce, parmesan cheese and add meatballs.
